From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to the feeling behind digital experiences. As a kid, that showed up in music (One Direction, of course), movies, games, and social media content and more. I was always interested in how media could evoke certain feelings and create experiences that stick with you.

That interest led me to take my first web development class in high school, where I learned the basics of HTML and CSS and built a lot of pretty bad “Hello World!” websites. At the time, I thought I wanted to go into programming, but what I really cared about wasn’t the coding. It was the design. It wasn’t until my junior year of undergrad that I discovered user experience design and finally had language for what I had been paying attention to all along.

Over the past year, I’ve been working across that interest in practice, untangling documentation for Stardog and rethinking a search flow within Cvent Event Diagramming. In both, I started with research and focused on understanding what people actually need in the moment.

I’m currently looking for full-time UX product design roles where I can work on products that matter to the people using them.
